Dispose of lids according to their plastic type. Lids for plastic cups are generally made from plastic #1. Most coffee cup lids are made from plastic #6. Soda cup lids are usually made from plastic #7, and might be marked “Other.” Lids for plastic tubs and takeout containers are typically made from plastic #1 or plastic #5.
