Blue Bag Recycling Program

Homeowners, Multi Family Units and Businesses may all participate in Truckee’s curbside recycling program.

Participating in Truckee’s curbside recycling program is easy:

1. Purchase blue bags.

2. Put all mixed, clean recyclables can be placed in the blue bags for collection. (View the guide to what is recyclable in Truckee.)

3. Secure bags (preferably with duct tape or zip ties) and place on the curb, in your bear box, or in your dumpster for collection.

Blue bags are collected for free in unlimited quantities; extra trash results in additional costs.
